Re-Opening of Furry Youth Café

(above Warrens Bakery, 6 Meneage Street, Helston)

During the Pandemic, The Furry Youth Cafe had to close.
We are delighted to announce that it will re-open with a launch party
on the evening of Friday 15th October.

We will open for two evenings a week one of which will be a Supper club to help young people learn a range of exciting new skills and cook together with invited guest chefs over a 10 week programme, culminating in a fine dining visit to a restaurant at the end of the 10 weeks.  They will learn how to cook with everyday and basics and also challenge themselves with more creative meals.  They will gain a valuable insight into budgeting, meal planning, the etiquette of serving food, nutrition, food hygiene among many other life skills.

The Supper Club will run every Thursday from 5-7pm.

Each Friday night in The Furry Youth Café, will be the weekly drop in evenings from 7-9pm, which will enable young people to meet together in a safe warm space and access a range of support and workshops including information advice and guidance as well as having a chill out time with their friends and hopefully many will make new friends.

We have contracted with Young People Cornwall to deliver the professional youth work service for the Supper Club and Drop In sessions and after Christmas, as demand builds from young people, we will be extending our offering to an additional evening so a total of three evenings per week.

Thank you!
